An incredibly rare chance to own this beautiful illuminated pedigree of NURALINA, born Crabbet Park 1929. This pedigree is drawn and signed by Lady Wentworth, and carries her seal. The parchment is in excellent condition, and framed under glass. 

Nuralina’s pedigree is richly illustrated to desert-bred Arabians and to those horses imported by the Blunts to Crabbet Park.

It features original mares including Queen of Sheba, Dajania, Sobha, Basilisk and Yemameh. 

Original stallions on the pedigree include Hadban, Aziz, Pharoah and the race horse Wazir.

Lady Wentworth has added her notations to many of the horses. Interestingly, she was not consistent in using black ink for stallions and red for mares!

Back in the 19^th century, Dajania’s only daughter to breed on -  Nefisa (by Hadban) born in 1885 - had many foals, producing the famous ‘N’ line of mares, including Narghileh and Nasra (illustrated with her son Naseem), the grand-dam of Nuralina. A third daughter, Nefisa, produced the influential stallion Nasik, whose blood flows down through Ben Rabba to many of today’s leading performance  horses, thanks to breeders Ed Hubbert in the USA and Beatrice Paine in the UK.

The 15hh mare Nuralina has been an inspiration for Crabbet breeders in the UK and overseas through her five foals, all by Indian Light.  Her daughter Nasifa is revered as the dam of Electric Ray and Nejmet es Subh.

Her lines through great granddaughter Nicolette, and her daughter Bellbowrie Alouette, among many others, are still held in high esteem in Australia.

Another pure Crabbet line emigrated to the USA via Australia over 20 years ago with the ACABONA importation of Rothlynne Pure Delight by Magic Myth out of Nuralina’s tail female line descendent Fasoura.
